Dr. Shabazz earned both a Masters and Ph.D. in Higher Education from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) and continues to lead the campus as an integral member for the Division of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. Dr. Shabazz is the Founder and President of the Student African American Sisterhood National, Inc. (SAAS) and the Correspondence Secretary for the Central Region of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

Remitha N. Norman, Vice President

Mrs. Norman received her Bachelor of Arts in Pre-law from Indiana University-Purdue University –Indianapolis (IUPUI) in 2003 and her Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan. In addition to her service as the Central Region Membership Chair and Vice President of the Alpha Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., she is also a member of the National Association of Professional Women and the National Black MBA Association.

Nieka N. Davis, Secretary

Mrs. Davis is a 2006 graduate of Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) and an active member of the community serving as the 1st Vice President of the Alpha Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. as well as the alumnae advisor to the Mu Chapter at Ball State University. She also currently serves as the Area VII Coordinator for the Central Region of the organization supporting over 20 chapters and 240 members.

Ms. Amos is a graduate of Indiana University – Bloomington and has received a Masters of Arts in Public Relations with an emphasis in Tourism Development from IUPUI. She is an experienced marketing and media relations professional and is currently in her second term as the Treasurer of the Alpha Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

Ms. Gilmore is a graduate of American Military University. She is also a member of National Negro Council of Women and Blacks in Government

Ms. Harris received both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Business Administration from Martin University and the University of Phoenix respectively. In addition to her role on the Seven Beacons Board, she serves as the President of the Alpha Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

Nancy Silvers-Rogers

Mrs. Silvers Rogers holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and an Master of Arts in Public Administration from Webster University, St. Louis. She is a former Indianapolis Deputy Mayor.

Martha Riley
Music Intructor, Broad Ripple Magnet High School for the Arts and Humanities

Ms. Riley received her Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis (IUPUI) and studied voice and piano at Butler University. She spent several years working in the financial industry before pursuing her true calling as an educator. Now an instructor at Broad Ripple, she continues to express the power of the Arts with students, colleagues and school administrators.
